Conservative Therapy

Osteoarthritis Treatment

Comprehensive treatment of joint wear. Our goal: relieve pain, maintain mobility, improve quality of life.

What is Osteoarthritis?

Osteoarthritis is the wear of joint cartilage - one of the most common joint diseases. The cartilage, which normally serves as a gliding surface and shock absorber, becomes thinner and rougher.

The result: pain during movement, stiffness after rest periods, and increasing limitation of mobility. Osteoarthritis is not curable, but can be well managed with the right therapy.

Our approach: We combine various conservative therapies to relieve your symptoms and preserve joint function as long as possible - often surgery can be avoided or delayed this way.

Affected Joints

Knee (Gonarthrosis)
Hip (Coxarthrosis)
Shoulder (Omarthrosis)
Spine (Spondylarthrosis)
Ankle
Big Toe Joint (Hallux Rigidus)

Our Treatment Concept

Individual Treatment

Every case of osteoarthritis is different. We create an individual treatment plan based on your symptoms, the stage of osteoarthritis, and your personal needs.

We often combine several therapies for the best results - for example, hyaluronic acid injections with physiotherapy and acupuncture.

Our Treatment Options

Treatment Stage Plan

Stage 1:Consultation, physiotherapy, insole fitting, acupuncture
Stage 2:Hyaluronic acid, PRP therapy, infiltrations
Stage 3:Surgical options (when conservative treatment is insufficient)

Osteology Focus

Dr. Graeb is a certified osteologist (DVO). In osteoarthritis, we also check bone health, as both conditions frequently occur together in older age.
