Conservative Therapy

Neural Therapy

Targeted injections with local anesthetics for treating pain and regulating the autonomic nervous system.

What is Neural Therapy?

Neural therapy is a regulatory therapy in which a local anesthetic (usually procaine or lidocaine) is injected at specific locations in the body. It was developed in the 1920s by German physicians Ferdinand and Walter Huneke.

The local anesthetic briefly blocks nerve conduction, enabling a "reset" of the autonomic nervous system. This can break chronic pain cycles and resolve regulatory disorders.

What are Interference Fields?

Interference fields are chronically altered tissue areas that can have remote effects on other parts of the body. Typical interference fields include:

  • Scars (including older, non-irritated scars)
  • Dental foci and tonsils
  • Chronic inflammation sites
  • Joint blockages

Treatment Forms

Segment Therapy

Injection into the affected segment (skin, muscles, joints). Direct treatment at the site of complaints.

Interference Field Therapy

Clearing of scars and chronic foci that can have remote effects on other parts of the body.

Benefits of Neural Therapy

Rapid pain relief
Well tolerated
Treats the cause
Also effective for chronic conditions
Regulates the autonomic nervous system
Can be combined with other therapies

Applications

Acute pain

Rapid relief for acute pain conditions

Chronic pain syndromes

Breaking pain cycles

Muscle tension

Trigger point treatment and relaxation

Scar treatment

Clearing scars as a source of pain

Headaches

Migraines and tension headaches

Joint problems

Periarticular infiltrations

Treatment Process

1

Medical History

Detailed questioning about complaints, previous conditions, and possible interference fields (scars, surgeries, dental foci).

2

Injection

Targeted injection of the local anesthetic at the identified points. The amount is small (a few milliliters).

3

Rest Period

Short rest period after the treatment. You can then leave the practice.

Treatment Notes

Neural therapy is very well tolerated. After treatment, a temporary initial aggravation may occur, which is considered a positive sign. Usually, several treatments at intervals of a few days to a week are recommended.

Cost Information

Neural therapy is generally not covered by statutory health insurance. Private health insurers often reimburse the costs. We are happy to advise you on costs.

Book Appointment

Neural therapy is available at both locations.

Treatment Duration
